Who I am…

Some say about me that I am a “North German original”. If you take it literally, it is at least true that I was born and grew up in northern Germany. After several stations in the course of my career, I now also live on the North Sea coast again with my wife and our children. Technology and digitization have had a great impact on me during my professional career. After completing my electrical engineering training, however, it quickly became clear to me that there was more to a well-functioning company than just technical expertise – my curiosity was piqued. I wanted to understand the interplay of expertise, innovation, management, leadership and commercial control. Thus, I decided to study industrial engineering in order to further develop my interdisciplinary skills in addition to focusing on information and automation technology. In almost 20 years of professional life, I was able to get to know companies of different industries and sizes. For most of my career, I have been involved with business development from a number of different perspectives. In addition to product and innovation-oriented focal points, this also included sales aspects and management tasks. Before becoming self-employed, I was head of business development and general manager with power of attorney at a medium-sized company for services in the offshore wind energy sector. Due to my diverse activities, I have always been intensively involved with management approaches and creative methods. I analyzed processes, used my knowledge from the IT sector to automate business processes and, as a manager, supported employees in constantly developing themselves further and also experimenting myself. Today, I help other managers, executives and their teams to define goals and key performance indicators, analyze structures and processes, identify optimization potential and develop innovative courses of action in order to implement them effectively in the company.

How I work…

To help you develop your business, I promote innovative solutions. In doing so, I attach great importance to quick implementability and practical relevance. As a consultant, I bring not only my technical and business expertise, but also my down-to-earth nature, which is characterized by a sense of responsibility, humor, mediation skills and the ability to reflect.

My mindset is analytical, process and data oriented by nature. This helps me develop a quick understanding of my clients’ business. Through extensive leadership and communication training, I have also learned how to listen actively, communicate clearly, inspire and coach people.

I don’t think much of academic definitions and demarcations or dogmatic implementation of theories. My focus is on solving the underlying problem and setting the goal. If the task requires it, I like to use a mixture of tools from different approaches and methods. To always try to solve problems with the same methodology is, in my opinion, not very effective in most cases. Nor am I a friend of big concept papers.

My motivation is to jointly develop implementable solutions that fit the organisation and the people and to move into action as quickly as possible. I am convinced that the best results can be achieved through close cooperation and open communication between all parties involved.

Learning new things and constantly getting better motivates me. To do this, I actively question the status quo, seek change and face new challenges. I am very decisive when it comes to doing things differently.

Let’s get started right away – I look forward to meeting you
